The hat-making towns of Caussade and Septfonds organize a Summer Hat Festival every year in July,
an event that celebrates hats for 4 days in Caussade, and on July 14 in Septfonds.
The Summer Hat Festival
Milliners from all over the world present their creations in parades for the international hat contest.
Other festival events include markets, music, shows and dancing. The festival attracts thousands of visitors.
A jury of professionals pre-selects 90 hats which are then presented during the celebrations, and the public is also invited to vote. Following the event, the creations are exhibited in Caussade throughout the summer.
