Next weekend, take a trip to Quercy Caussadais to visit a hidden but accessible wine-growing area, the Quercy vineyards.
We’ll meet 4 winegrowers and a winemaking cooperative.

Domaine de Lafage
An estate that took the organic route many years ago. Its 30 acres of vines have been cultivated using biodynamic techniques since 1992. Domaine de Lafage makes mainly red wines, but also rosé. Its wines regularly receive medals and are cited in the Hachette guide.

Domaine du Gabachou
The vineyards of Domaine du Gabachou cover an area of 32 acres, well exposed on the slopes of La Madeleine. Guy Camas will be happy to show you his wine, which can be found at many gourmet markets throughout the summer.

Cave des Vignerons
A collective adventure, a story of men and women, a cooperative on a human scale that today groups together 24 producers for nearly 300 acres of vines spread over the terroirs of the PDO Coteaux du Quercy.
All the wines are vinified in the wine cellar after first being pre-selected depending on the plot they are grown in. They regularly receive awards, and are exported to the United States, China, Belgium, etc. These wines are both recognized and appreciated.

The Quercy wine-growing area is also an invitation to visit our exceptional sites: the town of Montpezat-de-Quercy and its Collegiate Church, the village of Puylaroque for a meeting with the chef of the “Les Sens“ restaurant, the Molières bastide and its lake with its white sandy beach, and the town of Caussade, the Occitanie capital of hats.
Extend this experience by staying in a bed and breakfast in the heart of the vineyard or nearby, and discover
the local gastronomy with restaurateurs who combine tradition and modernity and who know how to bring out the very best in our local products and wines.

Domaine de Guillau
The vines of Domaine de Guillau are worked throughout the seasons according to tradition. They produce “Rosé de Saignée” wines and pleasing, well-balanced red wines.
They regularly receive awards at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris as well as in Regional Competitions, and have been selected several times by the Hachette guide.

Domaine de Mazuc
A family estate for 4 generations where Erick Carles produces red and rosé wines. Situated in the foothills of the Massif Central, he cultivates his vines on steep slopes in shallow, chalky-clay soil.
Their aromas of red fruit, in particular blackcurrant, set Domaine de Mazuc apart from other terroirs.
